I created this character back in 2003 (or 2004, idk exactly). It was the first character that I ever created, together with another one that looked pretty much the same, but that one was green and orange. I will draw her too! Back in 2003 this character's name was Fajer, but I changed it to Fabi (or Fabian) in 2009. And in 2003 I made a long story with these two snake characters and you can actually take a look at it here - [link] 8'D
I want to do a few more little comics with these characters, they're still so very close to me.

These are so lovely, I always enjoy these characters. The wings look great, I love how dark this one is also. Great picture!

You never forget your first characters, do you? :D
Awesome work. It's nice to see a simple character who can actually hold your interest, instead of one that's just boring, or even way too visually busy. The The only thing I can see that's throwing it off a bit for me is the shading. It seems like you have highlights where there should be shadow, and it doesn't seem like the wings are casting any on him at all. Maybe it's a reflection from the grass? Though it's way too strong for that. Is there something really reflective out of frame? Maybe right, down, and forward? Because that's the only way I could imagine having those highlights.

My characters are waaay less detailed now than they were a few years ago, it was seriously horrible D:
The main light sorce is behind his head, I can't see where the wings were suppose cast more shadows, but I'm having difficulties seeing that. But I might have made the reflected light a bit too strong (the blue color). But yeah, I imagine something blue reflect at him outside the picture.
